My name is Lacey. I am twenty-three
years old, a full time student at Midwestern State University, I work part-time
at a daycare and I also am a single mother of two---Addilyn and Hunter. Addilyn
is seventeen and a half months and Hunter is only eight months. That’s
right folks, 9 ½ months apart!
As a single mother of two small children, I found myself
searching for groups or resources that were available in Wichita Falls for me to explore. That is how I discovered Parents Without Partners, Inc. As I looked into what they had to offer
single parents like me, I became very interested and wanted to check out a chapter, or group, located in Wichita Falls. Unfortunately,
I quickly learned that there was not a chapter of PWP in Wichita Falls. After finding this out, I began to wonder
if there were other single parents in Wichita Falls looking for a place, or group, devoted
to single parents. That is what led me to the idea of creating a Wichita Falls Chapter of
PWP. My goal
is to create a place just for single parents of Wichita Falls. Parents Without Partners may not be just
the right thing for the single parents in Wichita Falls---So, I am left wondering what is?
